On holiday with the PlantHome

Summer holiday: for a lot of people it’s the perfect time to take a break and travel. Where many choose to fly to a sunny destination, there are also plenty of people who choose to stay closer to home and, for example, rent a nice holiday home in nature. Some people are even lucky enough to be able to stay at their holiday destination for several weeks! If you are one of those lucky people who spend several weeks at your holiday destination, there’s a good chance that you don’t eat out every day, but also regularly cook for yourself. Cooking a nice dinner on holiday can be a fun activity, but scouring the aisles of French supermarkets looking for the right herbs isn’t exactly that… Right?

Of course, you can choose to bring the herbs you need on holiday with you, but you often still end up with several packs of supermarket herbs in the fridge. But have you thought about using your home-grown herbs on vacation? I can hear you thinking: ‘isn’t that a lot of hassle?!’ But nothing is further from the truth: the Own Greens PlantHome is not only very useful to grow your own vegetables and herbs at home, but is also very suitable to take with you on holiday! The PlantHome already has an incredibly compact size, but can also be easily disassembled, making it even easier to take with you in your luggage. You only need to unscrew the screws on the sides of the PlantHome and separate the different sides (as you can see in the image). Once at your holiday destination, you can put it back together in no time!

When you go on holiday for a relatively short period of time, you can choose to take your already planted vegetables or herbs with you, so that you can enjoy fresh vegetables and herbs at your destination. You can easily take the bowls that already contain plants with you, for example by putting them in a crate or box and putting them back in the PlantHome when you’ve arrived at your destination. If you’re staying at your destination for a longer period of time, you can also choose to only start growing at your destination.
